MONTHLY INCOME SCHEME-HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SCHEME

1. WHO CAN OPEN THE MIS ACCOUNT
An Individual can open this account
A. On his own name.
B. With other one or two individuals jointly.
C. Guardian On behalf of minor.
D. A minor who have completed the age of 10 years.
2. Amount of Deposit.
A. Account can be opened with minimum of Rs 1500/- or in multiple of Rs 1500/-
B. Maximum amount of Deposit in single account is Rs 4,50,000/- and Rs 9,00,000/- in joint account.
C. A declaration regarding non deposit of excess amount in MIS Accounts is necessary.
3. Maturity period of account.
A. Maturity period of account is 6 years.
4. Premature closer of Account.
A. Account can be closed after expiry of one year. Subject to following condition.
1. 2% of Deposit amount will be deducted from principal if an account closed after one year but before expiry of three years.
2. 1% of Deposit amount will be deducted from principal if an account closed after expiry of three years.
3. If account to be closed prematurely due to death of Depositor there will be no deduction from principal amount.
5. INTEREST
A. Rate of interest is 8%.
B. Interest is payable on the monthly basis.
C. First monthly interest is payable on the date of deposit in next month.
D. If the due date of interest is a Sunday or holiday interest is payable on previous day.
E. Monthly Interest can be credited to the Savings Bank account if applied.

6. BONUS
1. Bonus is payable after expiry of 6 years from the date of deposit @10% of deposit for accounts opened before
11-02-06 and @5% of deposit for accounts opened on or after 08-12-2007. No bonus is payable for accounts opened during 12-02-06 to 07-12-2007.

TAX EXEMPTION ON GRATUITY

The government has hiked the limits of gratuity payment from Rs 3.5 lakhs to Rs 10 lakhs. This enhanced limit is applicable to employees who retire, become incapacitated before retirement, expire or whose services were terminated on or after May 24, 2010. As per Section 10(10) of Income Tax Act, gratuity is paid when an employee completes five or more years of full-time service with the employer. In respect of government employees, any death-cum-retirement gratuity received under the pension rules or scheme of the central or state government, or regulations applicable to the members of defence services, is not taxable. In case of gratuity received under the Gratuity Act, 1972, any gratuity received to the extent that it does not exceed an amount calculated in accordance with the provisions of the Gratuity Act is not taxable. For employees receiving gratuity other than under the government pension or gratuity scheme and also other than under the Payment of Gratuity Act, the computation mechanism in respect of exemption limits has been specified in the IT Act. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued a notification increasing the overall tax exemption to Rs 10 lakhs. The gratuity received by an employee is not taxable if it is received on his retirement, his becoming incapacitated prior to such retirement, termination of employment or if such gratuity is received by his widow, children or dependants on his death. Further, such gratuity does not exceed one-half month's salary for each year of completed service, calculated on the basis of the average salary for 10 months immediately preceding the month in which such retirement or death takes place, subject to the limits prescribed by the central government. Salary for this purpose includes dearness allowance, but excludes all other allowances and perquisites. Also, as per some judicial precedents, completed service would mean a total period of service whether under one employer or more. In case any such gratuities are received by an employee from more than one employer in the same financial year, the aggregate amount so exempt should not exceed the overall exemption limit. Similarly, if gratuities were received in one or more financial years, the exempt amount claimed earlier has to be taken into account while computing the exemption at present.

In the hangover of a memorable journey! ഒരാഴ്ച മുഴുവന്‍ കാത്തിരിക്കുനത് ഞായരാഴ്ച്ചക്ക് ആണ്. Six days monotonous office ലൈഫ് നു ശേഷം ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള രീതിയില്‍ ചെലവിടാന്‍ ഒരു ദിവസം. അങ്ങനെ കിട്ടുന്ന ദിനം superb ആയാലോ ? അങ്ങനെ ഒരു സണ്‍‌ഡേ ആയിരുന്നു ഇന്ന് .


നെടുമുടിയിലേക്ക് ഒരു യാത്ര .... സാധാരണ മലയാളികള്‍ക്ക് നെടുമുടി എന്ന് കേള്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നെടുമുടി വേണുവിനെ ഓര്‍മ വരുമെങ്കില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അതിനു മുന്‍പേ വേറൊരാളിന്റെ മുഖം തെളിഞ്ഞു വരും- രാമകൃഷ്ണ പിള്ള സാറിന്റെ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം നെടുമുടി സാറിന്റെ ...കായംകുളം എച്. ഓ .യിലേക്ക് സാര്‍ വന്ന പ്രഭാതം ഇന്നും ഓര്‍ക്കുന്നു . tenure ട്രാന്‍സ്ഫര്‍ ന്റെ ഭാഗം ആയി ശുഫ്ഫ്ലിംഗ് നടക്കുന്ന സമയം . അന്ന് , കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ഒക്കെ അറിയുമോ എന്ന് skandaraajan സാര്‍ തിരക്കിയപോള്‍ "അത്യാവശ്യം" എന്ന് സാറിന്റെ വിനീതം ആയ മറുപടി. ആ മറുപടി പിനീട് പലപ്പോഴും എന്റെ കാതില്‍ ഇരമ്പി- സാര്‍ style ആയി work മാനേജ് ചെയുന്നത് കണ്ടപോഴൊക്കെ . സാറിന്റെ പ്രായത്തിലുള്ള അധികം ആരും മിനക്കെടാത്തത് സാര്‍ പുഷ്പം പോലെ പഠിച്ചു എടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. സാറിന്റെ 'കുഞ്ഞേ' വിളിയില്‍ കാലം തട്ടി എടുത്ത സ്നേഹ വാത്സല്യങ്ങള്‍ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന്‍ ഒരുമിച്ചു അനുഭവിച്ചിരുന്നു . അതില്‍ ഒരു തരി എങ്കിലും തിരികെ നല്‍കാന്‍ എനിക്ക് ആയിട്ടുണ്ടാകുമോ ? കഴിഞ്ഞ B'daykku ആരോ പറഞ്ഞറിഞ്ഞു സാര്‍ എന്നേ വിളിച്ചു ആശംസകള്‍ നേരാന്‍ ...അന്ന് എനിക്ക് കിട്ടിയ the most surprising call സാരിന്റെത് ആയിരുന്നു .


നാം ഒരാള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അയാള്‍ക്ക്‌ നമ്മെ എത്ര മാത്രം comfortable ആക്കാന്‍ പറ്റുമോ അതാണ്‌ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വം . ചുറ്റും ഉള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് positive എനര്‍ജി പകരാന്‍ കഴിയുന്ന വ്യക്തിത്വങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാവരെയും ആകര്‍ഷിക്കും .
Yes, Nedumudi Sir is a bit more special to me! That is why I should attend today's trip. രേഖ ചേച്ചിയുടെ വിവാഹത്തില്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കാതെ , അമ്മ 'അമ്മായി' ഒരുങ്ങുന്നത് കാണാന്‍ പോകാതെ എല്ലാവര്ക്കും ഒപ്പം നെടുമുടിക്ക് വന്നതിന്റെ sole reason അതാണ്‌ , അത് മാത്രം ആണ് . Sir is a bit more special to me !!!


എച് . ഓ യില്‍ വര്‍ക്ക്‌ ചെയുംപോഴേ ഞാന്‍ സാറിനോട് പറയുമായിരുന്നു . ഒരു ദിവസം സാറിന്റെ നാട്ടിലേക്ക് വരണം . അപ്പോള്‍ ഒന്നും ചിന്തിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല , അത് സാറിന്റെ retirementinu ആകുമെന്ന് . സാര്‍ റിട്ടയര്‍ ആകുന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ച് ആലോചിക്കാന്‍ പോലും ആകുമായിരുന്നില്ല . ഇത്രയ്ക്കു ഒരു നഷ്ടബോധം തോന്നിയിട്ടുള്ളത് ആനന്ദ കൃഷ്ണന്‍ സാറിന്റെ retirementinu ആണ് . But he is always with us. അത് പോലെ എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കും നെടുമുടി സാറും ഒപ്പം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്ന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു , പ്രാര്‍ഥിക്കുന്നു .


സെലിന്‍ ചേച്ചിയുടെ വിവാഹത്തിന് പോയപ്പോള്‍ ആണ് രാധാകൃഷ്ണന്‍ ചേട്ടന്‍ നെടുമുടി സാറിന്റെ സെന്റ്‌ ഓഫ്‌ കാര്യം എടുത്തിട്ടത് . അപോഴേ ഞാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു യാത്ര ഒരു ഹോളിടായ്‌ ആക്കണേ എന്ന് . അത് തീരുമാനിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞെന്നു ചേട്ടന്‍ . ഞാന്‍ ഹാപ്പി ആയി . ഒരു മാസം പറന്നു പോയി . ഡിസംബര്‍ 29 ഇല്‍ നിന്നും ജനുവരി 30 ലേക്ക് പറന്നിറങ്ങിയ പോലെ ... new ഇയര്‍
ലെ ആദ്യ മാസം സുന്ദരം ആയി കടന്നു പോയി . പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട കുറെ പേരെ കാണാനും , യാത്രകള്‍ ചെയാനും , an array of experiences ലുടെ കടന്നു പോകാനും കഴിഞ്ഞു .


പതിനൊന്നു മണിക്ക് എച് . ഓ യില്‍ നിന്ന് പോകുമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും പത്തു മുപ്പതിന് ഞാന്‍ അവിടെ എത്തി . വിനീത ചേച്ചിയും ശര്‍മാജിയും എച് . ഓ ക്ക് opposite സിടെഇല്‍ നില്‍പ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നു . പിന്നാലെ Lekshmi, Radhakrishnan Chettan, Balan Sir, Bhuvan, Shailaja Sir, ഒക്കെ എത്തി . എച് .ഓ യിലേക്ക് കയറാന്‍ തുടങ്ങുമ്പോള്‍ ലീല സാറും വന്നു . Lekshmi എച് ഓ കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ ഹാപ്പി ആയി . മെയ്‌ ആകുമ്പോള്‍ ലെക്ഷ്മി മാന്നാറിനു പോയിട്ട് രണ്ടു വര്ഷമാകും . ലെക്ഷ്മി ആവേശത്തോടെ ഓരോന്നും നോക്കി കണ്ടു . കതകിന്റെ ഭംഗി പോയി , സീറിംഗ് arrangements മാറി , പുതിയ കസേരകള്‍ , ....മുകളില്‍ ഡൈനിങ്ങ്‌ റൂമില്‍ അതെ സ്വിച്ച് ,table സ്ഥാനം മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു . Washing കോര്‍ണര്‍ ലെ ലെക്ഷ്മിക്ക് അലെര്‍ജി ഉള്ള ലൈറ്റിന്റെ കാര്യം ഞാന്‍ ഓര്‍മിപ്പിച്ചു. Resmi chechi, Salini chechi, Arya, Deepa ചേച്ചി ഒഴികെ എല്ലാരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു . Lekshmi chechi, Smitha chechi, and Anitha മുകളിലേക്ക് എത്തി . Anitha Sreejith നെ തിരക്കി . Anitha Sreejith and me മറ്റൊരു സുവര്‍ണ കാലത്തിന്റെ ഓര്‍മ തടവുകാര്‍ ആണെല്ലോ ? അനിതയുടെ വിവാഹം ഫിക്സ് ചെയ്ടെന്നു ...ശാലിനി ചേച്ചിയെ വിളിച്ചു ഞാന്‍ , ചേച്ചി വരുനില്ല .


പതിനൊന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞു , പതിനോന്നരയും കഴിഞ്ഞു . വണ്ടി കാണുന്നില്ല . ഞങ്ങള്‍ താഴെ എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ members ന്റെ എണ്ണം കൂടി . Soman sir, Santhosh sir, Rajesh, Ajeesh, Aji chettan , Anandakrishnan Sir, Dharmajan Sir, Leelamma chechi, Anil Sir, Jayan sir, Girish Sir, Bindu Chechi, ........ പന്ത്രണ്ടു കഴിഞ്ഞു വണ്ടി ഏതാണ - Meenu അനീഷ്‌. 12.10nu ഞങ്ങള്‍ സ്റ്റാര്‍ട്ട്‌ ചെയ്തു .


വിനീത ചേച്ചിയും ലെക്ഷ്മിയും ഞാനും ഒരുമിച്ചിരുന്നു . പാട്ടൊക്കെ ഇട്ടെങ്കിലും ഒരു "ഓളം" ഇല്ലെന്നു ലെക്ഷ്മി . എല്ലാവരും ചേര്‍ന്ന് പാട്ട് പാടാം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു മൈക്ക് എടുപ്പിച്ചതാണ് . പക്ഷെ പിന്നിലേക്ക്‌ റേഞ്ച് ഇല്ല . ചേപ്പാട് നിന്നും varghese അച്ചായനും തോമസ്‌ സാറും കയറി . ആനന്ദ കൃഷ്ണന്‍ സാര്‍ നല്ലൊരു തുടക്കം ഇട്ടെങ്കിലും മൈക്ക് അച്ചായന്റെ കൈയില്‍ എത്തിയപ്പോഴേക്കും കൈ വിട്ടു പോയി ....പിന്‍ നിരയില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ തമാശകളുമായി ...എന്തായാലും നെടുമുടി എത്തിയത് അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.


ബസ് ഇറങ്ങി സ്വല്‍പ്പം നടക്കണം സാറിന്റെ വീടിലേക്ക്‌ . Skandarajan Sirne കണ്ടു .ഞങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നു ....കാഴ്ചകള്‍ കണ്ടു കണ്ടു ....കണ്ണെത്താത്ത നെല്പാടങ്ങള്‍ ആരുടെ മനസ്സിനെയാണ്‌ ആഹ്ലാദ ഭരിതമാക്കാതിരിക്കുക ? technologies വളരുമ്പോഴും നമ്മുടെ
primitive feeling ആന്‍ഡ്‌ ethivism ആണ് നമ്മുടെ മനസ്സിനെ നയിക്കുന്നത് .


നെടുമുടി സാറും കുടുംബവും എല്ലാവരെയും വീടിനുള്ളിലേക്ക് ക്ഷേണിക്കുന്നു . സെലിന്‍ ചേച്ചിയും മനോജ്‌ ഏട്ടനും നേരത്തെ എത്തി . സാറിന്റെ വീടിനു മുന്നില്‍ പുഴ ആണ് . വീടിനും പുഴക്കും ഇടയില്‍ നട വഴി .ഞങ്ങള്‍ മെല്ലെ നടന്നു . ഇടയ്ക്കു പുഴയിളുടെ പോയ ബോട്ടില്‍ ഇരുന്ന സായിപ്പിനും മദാമ്മക്കും നേരെ കൈ വീശി ....അക്കരയിലുടെ ഐസ് വില്‍പ്പനക്കാരന്‍ പോകുന്നതിന്റെ ബെല്‍ .


ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കാന്‍ ഇരുന്നു . ഇത്ര ഏറെvegetarians. വിളംബുകാര്‍ക്ക് അത്ഭുതം . ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കറിയും ആയി നെടുമുടി സാര്‍ എത്തി . പലപ്പോഴും ഞാന്‍ ഓര്‍ക്കും എന്റെ അപ്പൂപ്പന്റെ ഒരു സ്വഭാവം ആണ് സാറിനും . മറ്റുള്ള എല്ലാരേയും കെയര്‍ ചെയ്തു , ആര്‍ക്കും ഒരു ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടും ഉണ്ടാക്കാതെ , എല്ലാ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വങ്ങളും ഏറ്റെടുത്തു ....ഭക്ഷണ ശേഷവും ഞങ്ങള്‍ കാഴ്ചകള്‍ ആസ്വദിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു . കഥക്ക് വല്ലതും കിട്ടിയോ എന്ന് ജയന്‍ സാറിന്റെ അന്വേഷണം . മൈസൂര്‍ പി ടി സി യെ കുറിച്ച് ഒരു കുറിപ്പ് ആവശ്യപെട്ടു സാര്‍ .


സെലിന്‍ ചേച്ചിയും മനോജ്‌ ഏട്ടനും ഇറങ്ങി , ഒപ്പം ലെക്ഷ്മിയും . മൂന്നു മണിയോടെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഇറങ്ങി .തിരികെ നടക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സര്‍പ്പ കാവ് കണ്ടു , വില്ലേജ് ഓഫീസും. ഞങ്ങള്‍ മടക്ക യാത്രയില്‍ ....അടിച്ചു പൊളിച്ചു തിരികെ എത്തി ....'ഇമ്മിണി വലിയ ' കൈ വീശി
മനസ്സ് കൊണ്ട് എല്ലാറ്റിനോടും യാത്ര പറഞ്ഞു .....
