The Postal Staff College, India was set up on 27th September, 1977 to meet the training and development need of the managerial cadres of Postal and Accounts and Financial Wings of the Department, to provide leadership in the vocational training of the operative cadres through regional training centres, to undertake research in spheres of management of postal systems, and to build a postal data bank and documentation centre. The College imparts induction training to probationers of Indian Postal Service (Group 'A') & officers promoted to Postal Superintendents Group 'B' cadre. The College also organizes workshops and management and professional programmes for in-service officers and foreign delegates.
