Sub : Engagement of contingent staff at operative office for sweeping ,scavenging etc.

A kind reference is invited to the above. Statedly , the direction are issued in pursuance of Directorate orders dated 29.01.2010 and RO order dated 20.12.2010. It may kindly be noted that the Directorate has issued subsequent clarification on 19.11.2010 (No 4-4/209 PCC dated 19.11.2010) that as far as operative offices are concerned, the work may be outsource wherever feasible to do so. This clarification has been conveyed by Circle office letter no EST/53-3/2009 Vol III dated 27.12.2010. A copy of circle office letter is enclosed.

It is requested that the direction issued in this division may kindly be reviewed in the light of the Directorate clarification and the implementation may kindly be deferred till the feasibility in respect of each separate office is ascertained.
