The selection process for these positions in Department of Post consists of a 100 marks weightage system, with break-up as below:
i) 40% weightage for Class-12th %age.
ii) 50% weightage for Aptitude Test.
iii) 10% weightage for Computer Typing test.
1. Suppose if you had scored 75% in Class-12th, the merit marks you would score is 30 (i.e.75/100 x 40).
2. Suppose if you score 80 (out of total 100 marks) in Aptitude test, the merit marks you would score is 40
(i.e.50/100 x 80).
3. if you score 5 (out of total 10 marks) in Computer Typing test, the merit marks you would score is 0.5 (i.e.10/100 x 5).
(30+40+0.5)
Thus a total score of 70.5 would be counted for you with above combination in the Postal Assistants exam merit list.
The Computer Test mark is for 10 marks and not 10%. If it is in 10%, then we have to take 10% of 100 (not 10% of 10 marks). In the above case, it's 5.
ReplyDeleteie, 5x10x10/100=5
The Computer Test mark is for 10 marks not 10%. If it is 10%, then it is 10% of 100 (not 10% 0f 10).So in the above case, it is 5.
